Tanya is a Psychologist and Registered Supervisor with 20 years experience providing a range of clinical and behavioural assessments for clients with complex needs and service system development. Tanya has extensive experience working in the Disability and Family and Community Services Sector working with children, adolescents and young adults with behavioural, emotional, social and developmental presentations including ADHD, complex trauma and high risk populations.

Tanya is fervent in supporting individuals and their families to live a meaningful life by tailoring evidence based approaches to the individual and their support network. She has an avid interest in complex trauma, the impact of our early attachments and the neurobiological effects of our developmental experiences. Tanya works with families, carers, and agencies working with complex behavioural presentations to build awareness and skills aimed at improving overall quality of life. She is a strong advocate for supporting families, carers and agencies to support the needs of the child / young person.

Tanya  has undertaken trauma informed behavioural case formulation, treatment planning and consultation for children, families and agencies. Tanya has led and implemented systemic and practice reviews of government and non-government agencies to build capacity efficiency in organisations, involving service modelling, project management, assessment implementation and monitoring and post-implementation review. This has included working with organisations around the assessment, design and delivery of intervention for young people leaving care, people with mental health support needs, disabilities, and individuals at risk of entering the criminal justice system.

Tanya has worked with service system development and review including operationalising of policy, and developing quality assurance mechanisms, providing supervision for clinicians, senior and regional management personnel, in particular regarding individuals with complex support needs and broader service delivery.

Tanya brings skills and knowledge in trauma informed care and approaches, severe and persistent mental illness, attachment, neurobiology, positive parenting and positive behaviour support utilising DBT, CBT, ACT, compassion and mindfulness practices.

Tanya is a compassionate and mindful Psychologist, dedicated to supporting and promoting wellness, and will continue to build our niche reputation in the treatment of eating disorders and non-diet approaches to body image, disordered eating and weight concern.
