“Everybody wants happiness, nobody wants pain, but you can't have a rainbow without a little rain."

I am a warm, supportive and compassionate therapist, committed to assisting you to connect to your inner wisdom, and to develop mindful awareness and self-compassion. I understand that as humans, we all experience difficulty navigating through life’s storms. I adopt a holistic and respectful client centered approach whilst maintaining a commitment to ethical, evidence based practice.
Whether it be anxiety, grief or loss, low confidence, fear, relationship difficulties and separation, parenting, or problematic eating and body image struggles, I will work with you to help improve your experience of the world. After spending time with me, I hope you feel understood and heard, you will grow a healthy mind and an increased sense of empowerment towards how you would like to live your life.
I have 20 years’ experience helping people to find their way again, to make sense of what they feel and to find new ways of being in the world. My approacombines mindfulness and compassion-based cognitive and behavioural therapies, which include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I have a keen interest in listening to the messages that our bodies may send, and I will help you to integrate and honour these messages as a part of your mind as a whole. I am also passionate about positive parenting, and supporting the well being of all parents, including single parents and care providers.
My expertise includes assessment and treatment of body image concerns, Body Dysmorphia, emotional and problematic eating and Eating Disorders. I am passionate about releasing people from the cruel trap of popular dieting approaches, and of the ideal beauty. My approach to health and well being is from a strictly weight neutral paradigm, which is delivered via a non – dieting and Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. I am also familiar with exploring why people seek cosmetic procedures and I recommend discussing the expectations of a procedure prior to undertaking it.
