Therapeutic Approaches
“At TYW, we believe that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Our approach is thoughtful, collaborative and shaped around you."
Approaches That Fit Your Journey
At Treat Yourself Well, we understand that no two people arrive at therapy with the same experiences, needs or goals. Our psychologists draw from a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, considering not only what brings you to therapy, but who you are, what matters to you and what you hope to gain from the process.
Rather than expecting you to fit neatly within a particular model, we work collaboratively to find an approach that makes sense for you. This may involve one particular therapy or thoughtfully drawing from different approaches as your needs evolve, while always considering your individual experiences, strengths and circumstances.

Evidence-Based Therapeutic Approaches
Evidence-based, individualised and grounded in genuine human connection.
The therapeutic approaches we use provide a framework for understanding difficulties, developing new skills and supporting meaningful change. While each approach has its own principles and areas of focus, the relationship between you and your psychologist remains central to the work.
Our team brings experience across a range of therapeutic modalities, allowing us to consider which approach may be most appropriate for your needs. Your psychologist can talk with you about the options available and help you understand why a particular approach, or combination of approaches, may be recommended.
Explore Our Therapeutic Approaches
No single therapeutic approach is right for everyone. Our clinicians draw on a range of evidence-based methodologies, tailoring treatment to each person's unique experiences, goals and needs.

You Don't Have to Navigate It Alone
You may recognise yourself in one of the approaches above, or you may have no idea which type of therapy would be the best fit. That's completely okay. Our psychologists can help you explore what you're experiencing, understand your goals and consider an approach that feels appropriate for you.
