At Treat Yourself Well, we understand that parenting is deeply meaningful, and at times, can feel complex, overwhelming, and hard to navigate alone.

Parenting can be one of life's most rewarding experiences, but it can also bring moments that feel overwhelming, confusing or emotionally exhausting. Every child is different, and there is no single "right" way to respond to every situation.

Our work with parents is collaborative and compassionate. We support caregivers to understand their child’s emotional world, respond with confidence, and develop co-regulation skills that strengthen connection over time.

We aim to support parents to better understand their child's emotional world while developing practical strategies that strengthen connection, build emotional resilience, and create calmer family relationships. Our approach is compassionate, evidence-based and tailored to the unique needs of every family.

We also recognise the parent’s experience - providing a space that validates the challenges of raising children with diverse needs, intense of quiet feelings, while offering practical, sustainable strategies that fit within real family life.

Parenting Support (5-Session Package)

Emotional Awareness and Regulation Series

This is a structured parenting support series focused on building skills in children’s emotional awareness and regulation. The program is typically delivered over five sessions and is tailored to the needs and goals of each family. ​Sessions are psychoeducational and capacity-building in nature, tailored to the needs of the participant.

The program focuses on:

 

  • Understanding children’s and caregivers’ emotional responses

  • Co-regulation and modelling emotional skills

  • Practical tools to support behaviour and connection

  • Building confidence in responding to emotional challenges
