Miori Shino
Senior Psychologist (she/her)

Miori Shino is a registered psychologist who has worked with clients with a wide range of presentations. She has experience in supporting neurodivergent clients, and those with a trauma background. She is committed to providing a trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming approach in her work, and is sensitive to the client’s cultural background. 

Miori is a registered psychologist who has worked with clients across the lifespan with a wide range of presentations, particularly those who are neurodivergent and have a trauma background. She is committed to providing a trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming approach in her work, and is sensitive to the client’s cultural background.

Miori works with young people, adults, and older adults. She has worked as a School Counsellor and has over 12 years experience working with children and adolescents, providing mental health support as well as conducting a wide range of psychological assessments. With consent, Miori works with external agencies and supports such as family members, other specialists, and schools to ensure holistic support is provided for clients of all ages.

 

 

Miori takes a person-centred approach, being attentive to the responsiveness of the client and tailoring therapy to suit each individual.  She utilises various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT, and psychodynamic approached.  She is dedicated to building a strong, trusting therapeutic alliance so the client feels comfortable in therapy.  She is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician, and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. She is also a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists and supports clinicians in the practice with psychometric and diagnostic assessments.
