Miori Shino (she/her)

Miori Shino is a registered psychologist who has worked with clients with a wide range of presentations. She has experience in supporting neurodivergent clients, and those with a trauma background. She is committed to providing a trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming approach in her work, and is sensitive to the client’s cultural background.

She has worked as a School Counsellor and has over 9 years experience working with children and adolescents, providing mental health support as well as conducting a wide range of educational and achievement assessments. She has extensive experience working with young people presenting with issues such as perfectionism, school stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidality. With consent, Miori works with the family, school and other specialists of the young person to ensure holistic support is provided. 

Miori utilises various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT and DBT. She is attentive to the responsiveness of the client, tailoring therapy to suit each individual. She is dedicated to building a strong, trusting therapeutic alliance so the client feels comfortable in therapy.  She is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc and is also a board-approved supervisor for provisional psychologists and an Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinician.
