Sev prides herself in assisting her client’s in realising their intrinsic potential. Sev is a registered psychologist passionate about enhancing the quality of life and self-efficacy of her clients. Utilising evidence-based approaches in a flexible and client-centred manner, Sev strives to adapt her therapeutic skillset dynamically, ensuring each client receives tailored treatment addressing their unique personality and specific goals for self-improvement.
Sev has experience seeing clients of various walks of life, with diverse socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds, with a focus on adult mental health. As a therapist Sev strives to be open-minded, genuine, and enjoys bringing idiosyncrasy, humour and compassion into her sessions.
Sev is consistently engaged in learning more and more about different treatment modalities and techniques, taking a holistic and lifestyle-based approach, incorporating components of physical health, nutrition, and sleep in addition to addressing the ails of the mind. Her areas of interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety, stress/adjustment, as well as interpersonal stress and conflicts within relationships and including post-relationship distress
and surviving toxic relationship dynamics, addressing difficulties with low self-esteem, body image, personal, academic and social goal attainment, difficulties with motivation and organisation, in addition to trauma. Sev also has a growing interest in adult ADHD and is passionate about assisting client’s in managing these symptoms as adults and learning to flourish in their neurodiversity.
Sev utilises a wide tool-kit based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as self-compassion and mindfulness-based approaches, using a client-centred framework that addresses holistic elements related to a client’s lifestyle, physical health, interpersonal connections, and overall life satisfaction and sense of life meaning and purpose.
