Alana Dulgaro is a registered psychologist experienced in helping adults and young adults discover their strengths and overcome their distress, using a range of treatment modalities. She is passionate about Autistic and ADHD mental health, as well as working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

Alana is a strong believer in equality and the beauty of diversity. She takes a holistic approach when working with her clients and has a passion for learning and hearing about all important and unique aspects of her clients' lives, including their culture, religion, background, age, lifestyle and sexuality. 

Alana is a psychologist who aims to understand you at a deep level. She takes a light and creative approach to hearing your story and will quickly show you there is no judgement or hierarchy in your sessions with her. Alana is thorough; she notices patterns, loopholes, and strengths, from your first session to your last, and can highlight these for you in a gentle way. . Alana maintains a collaborative therapeutic space where there is no hierarchy, everyone is human and imperfections are welcomed. Alana provides an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere of both understanding and empowerment, as she guides her clients towards richer and more meaningful lives.

 

Alana is passionate about working with the Autistic, ADHD and LGBTQIA+ communities. She likes to tweak approaches until they are tailored, personalised, and properly addressing her clients’ needs. She has experience in working with clients across the lifespan, particularly in the areas of anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, attachment difficulties, relationship stressors, self-esteem difficulties, body image concerns and eating disorders, including adult ADHD and Autism Assessments.

 

Alana is a credentialed eating disorder clinician, with training and experience in a range of treatment modalities: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (RODBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).
