Selin Sevim

My name is Selin and I am passionate about enhancing your wellbeing and quality of life which you deserve. I enjoy getting to know you as an individual through a holistic, supportive, and strength-based lens. I have a warm, compassionate, and mindful approach and pay importance to making you feel safe and comfortable.
I have had experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults with various presentations. I also have experience working with people on the NDIS. I am interested in working with people who are neurodivergent, as well as individuals who are experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment concerns, new parents, and relationship concerns. I have worked in different settings including private practice, corporate settings, and not for profit organisations.
Selin is a psychologist committed to supporting each person’s wellbeing and helping them explore what a meaningful and sustainable life may look like. She values understanding each individual as a whole person with unique experiences and circumstances, and works through a holistic, strengths‑based, and supportive lens. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and mindful, with a focus on creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
She has experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults across a wide range of presentations, including individuals accessing the NDIS. Selin is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients (ADHD/Autism), as well as those experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, interpersonal difficulties, adjustment concerns, relationship challenges, and the transition into parenthood. She also provides parenting support for those navigating the complexities of raising children while managing their own wellbeing. Her professional experience spans private practice, corporate environments, and not‑for‑profit organisations.
Selin’s therapeutic style is grounded in a psychodynamic and integrative framework that is person‑centred and tailored to each individual. She draws on a neurodiversity‑affirming and trauma‑informed approach, incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), mindfulness-based strategies, and the Health at Every Size (HAES) philosophy. Her work is guided by a commitment to honouring each client’s lived experience, strengths, and values.
She is dedicated to truly listening and attuning to each person’s experiences with care and without judgment. Her focus is on supporting clients to reconnect with their values and explore what a life that feels more authentic, grounded, and fulfilling may look like for them.
