With over 12 years of experience in the dietetic field, I find it most rewarding to assist individuals in making behavioural changes and to empower them to make informed choices that align with their overall mental and physical well-being. My practice aligns with the nutrition principles of Health at Every Size (HAES), which advocate a healthy relationship with food, promote self-care, body positivity and the intrinsic value of nourishing oneself without the constraints of diet culture.
In my work, I integrate principles from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), tailoring each intervention to the individual’s needs, circumstances, and stage of change. These approaches help create a supportive therapeutic environment that fosters recovery and builds trusting, collaborative relationships with patients and their families.
I approach treatment with a strong commitment to equality, dignity, and respect, ensuring that all individuals receive culturally sensitive care regardless of their cultural, ethnic, or religious background.
